Second, a speaking routine required pairs to articulate an opinion using three target words; this protocol encouraged accurate use without making the task artificial. Third, a weekly writing task focused on one theme, allowing students to accumulate examples and revise them with teacher feedback based on clear criteria. Finally, a self-study workbook offered supplementary exercises to reinforce recall.

After six weeks, the results were mixed but generally positive. A preliminary test showed a significant rise in receptive knowledge, whereas productive use—especially in writing—improved more gradually. Some students reported fluctuating motivation, noting that life commitments made regular practice difficult. Nonetheless, attendance remained stable, and teachers modified tasks by reducing length while maintaining challenge, thereby enhancing completion rates. To validate the findings, the college will run a longitudinal follow-up next term to see whether gains are sustained and to maximize the program’s overall impact.
